    Event Description:
    Barbers Hill Fall Fest is a drug-awareness project that takes place each October at the Barbers Hill Transportation Center.  This year’s event is Saturday, October 19.  The day includes a Barbeque Cook Off, Children’s Carnival, drug awareness Poster Contest and Coloring Contest, and the Community Stage featuring local talent.  Winning pies from the Pie Contest are auctioned off to raise money for drug abuse awareness and education.  Proceeds from the event are used in the local community to fund such projects such as scholarships, Primary school “Choices Count” curriculum, Chambers County Sheriff’s Department G.R.E.A.T. program, Project Graduation and other healthy lifestyle programs.  The fun-filled event promotes community spirit and friendly competition for the good of drug awareness.
